Born in 1979. After apprenticing under Masami Asai (Echizen Marukatsu), he apprenticed at Kamo-fuji Hamono in Takefu. After a few years, he apprenticed again under Mr. Asai, inheriting Mr. Asai's techniques and the Echizen Marukatsu inscription. Nao Yamamoto is currently active as one of the most talked-about blacksmiths. He demonstrates his talent by producing a wide range of items from kitchen to small . He uses stainless steel such as VG10 Damascus, White Steel, and Blue Steel, depending on the intended use of the .
